I will be honest and say that nothing would calm me down more right now than a nice Reuben sandwich or a bowl of potato chips. But I'm not going to let that loser derail me. Instead, I'm redirecting my energies and going to write some letters to a former student to attempt to inspire her to stay in school. Nothing like giving to someone else to get you out of your own pity party!
Just had the Optifast tomato soup - food. of. the. gods. Deeee-Lish! Hello, Salt...have you been thinking about me like I've been thinking about you??

Don't let your ex be the reason you go to the food. Trust me, it doesn't make it better. I've had times when I've gone to food to make myself feel better (not while doing Optifast but doing other programs) and it only compounded the problem because I was back in it. You're staying strong and that's awesome. Btw, the salt is like a lovely little treat, isn't it? Makes me want to have a chicken soup, which I haven't had in problably two weeks. Never loved chicken broth as much as I have as when I've been on Optifast.
ReplyDeleteStay strong, honey! Congratulations on 5 lbs!!!!! That's 20 total, right? That's a big chunk of your goal right there. Just dwell on that.
ReplyDeleteExes can be a pain, eh? And as for reubens... sigh ... yum! But it's so uplifting to hear what you are doing with your former student! Directing your energies in a positive way! You are an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAw that is so nice! Thank you!
